How do I apply?

Visa application guidance

Applications can be made in 2 ways

1. Apply online

You can complete your application online by using the UK Border Agency's online application system Visa 4 UK, which has secure Internet connection. The new technology guides you through the visa application process step by step:

i. Log on to www.visa4uk.fco.gov.uk

ii. Complete the online application process

iii. Attend a visa application centre at your convenience or schedule an appointment on line to submit your application form and for biometric enrolment

2. Paper submission

Applicants will need to visit the UK visa application centre to submit their applications in person and for biometric enrolment.

Each application must include the following:

1. Completed visa application form

Please note: your visa would normally be valid from the travel date as stated in your application form. Please ensure you fill this part of the form. Any request for amendment to the dates would mean making a new application.

2. Correct published visa fee

3. A valid passport which has at least 1 page free in the visa pages for the insertion of a vignette

4. Photocopy of data page of the passport (passport page with photo/extension of validity/endorsement if applicable)

5. Previous passport (If any)

6. Photograph (see photo specifications)

7. Supporting documentation
