Getting Around in Thailand by local Buses

You will be amazed at the number of different buses that operate around Bangkok. And all the different colours, some Air Conditioned ( they cost slightly more than non Air Conditioned buses ) some cooled by open windows ( Joke ). Journeys made by the Bus service is very cheap but you are governed by the Traffic and Traffic Jams. They are horrendous in Bangkok. A simple journey can take forever. Especially at start and end of the working day. Around 16.00 hours and 18.00 hours a journey can take , sometimes an hour or two more. And be warned they pack them in like sardines. No use saying is this safe - safe does not come into it, I want to get home now is the order of the day
